Rockwool Insulation

Rockwool fibres are mainly composed of Silica and alumina which are inorganic. They are manufactured in various types of rock of predetermined chemical composition which is melted at extremely high temperatures in a technically advanced cupola. After heating a molten alumina-silicate is formed which is spun ay very high speed to produce rock fibres. These fibres are also sprayed with binders so that they can retain their shape and prevent shrinkage during storage.

Rockwool products do not absorb moisture from the air, only water under pressure can enter the insulation product. But this will quickly dry up dry up due to the open cell structure of the insulation. They are free from asbestos and are non hazardous to health, rot proof, odourless and they do not get fungus or vermin.

We at Santura engineering assure you that all the material goes through high quality check and standards.

Why use preformed pipe section

Mandrel wound concentrically formed form fitting Pipe Sections Precisely made to fit standard pipe diameters offer uniform maximum resistance to passage of heat along and around the entire 360 degrees of the pipe axis. Superior density of this product enhances compression resistance in service. These sections are easy to fit and hence afford speedy application at site.

Building rolls are thermal and acoustic insulation of metal buildings. They are mainly used over and under roof purlins or walls, partition wells and false ceiling overlays.

Slabs are designed for many applications for ducts, vessels equipments and flat surface or slightly curved surfaces. Slabs are conformed to ASTM C-553 and ASTM C-665 in rigid or semi rigid configurations. They are also used in construction, industrial, ship building, fire protection, marine industry.

Batts are unfaced insulation used for extra rigid thermal and fire safety insulation. It is used as a core material for sandwich panels.

Mattresses are facing with galvanised or stainless steel hexagon wire mesh. Mattresses consists of fine fibres spun from selected rocks melted at high temperatures and bonded with thermosetting resin. They are machine laid fibre lay pattern and are baked to form mattresses. They are then stitched to specific dimensions. They are mainly used in thermal insulator of high temperature equipments like boilers, fluid storage tanks, pipelines of upto 750C, marine industry and shipbuilding.

Pipe sections are used up to max 750C of temperature. They are provided with and without aluminium foil. They are the best insulation used for pipes, usually they are used in power plants and press industries refinery.

Loose rockwool are slightly bonded impregnated stone wool. They are used for in-fill around pipe bundles and for brake/clutch pads.

CORROSION PROTECTION

Rock wool fibres, in the first place, are devoid of impurities like Halides (Chlorides & Cluorides) and Sulphides which are commonly found in other materials such as Calcium Silicate. This is due to the fact that rockwool fibres are manufactured by a dry manufacturing process and its faint alkalinity actually fight against corrosive reactions. It meets various critical specifications including ASTM C-795 requirements where specified.
