Poly isocynurate
Poly isocynurate like any other urethane foam, has low thermal conductivity. it has a fire resistance rating and achieves a class 1 surface spread of flame rating. Santura engineering provides urethane foam which is CFC free, thus helping the environment. Polyiso cynurate reduces the thickness by 50% compared with cork material. It exposes lower surface area, reducing area or expensive vapour barrier and outer cladding per running meter of piping.
Unlike most thermoplastics polystyrene has low smoke emission, and will not melt or drip in a fire. Due to the rigidity, polyiso cynurate foam has a higher hot surface performance of 150C compared with 110C of normal polyurethane foam. This makes it ideal for use directly over steam of electrical tracing.
